The Kyle Onyett Story

Donation protected
Kyle was first diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma on November 11, 2011. Following three months of chemo, he had surgery in February, 2012. During this surgery, doctors removed a tumor that was originally the size of a softball, along with 4 inches of his pelvic bone. Following the surgery, Kyle was considered to be cancer free!

On November 11, 2013, two years to the date of the original diagnosis, Kyle was re-diagnosed with cancer. This time, the cancer had spread to his lungs and was considered to be stage IV. Kyle immediately started chemo again, this time going every day of the week. In March of 2014, he had surgery to remove tumors from his left lung. Upon testing, the doctors said that all of the tumors were still alive and that none of the chemo he'd done had worked. At that point, doctors said that Kyle had 12 months to find treatment that would work or they would consider him incurable and let him go. Doctors said that once that happened, the cancer would be consuming in a year and Kyle would be gone in less than two years. From that point, Kyle has tried several treatments and clinical trials and has had another major surgery on his left lung. To date, none of these treatments or surgeries have worked.

Even though Kyle is now well beyond the time span that doctors gave him to find something that would work, he's still fighting! Kyle says that he will never give up! We serve an awesome God! He healed Kyle once and we know that He'll do it again! Kyle says that he's not sure how long it's going to take, where he'll have to go, and what he's going to have to do, but he knows that he'll hear the words "you're cancer free" once again! Kyle's postive, absolutely-never-give-up attitude allows him to share his story in a way that will truly make you sit on the edge of your seat. In his words, Kyle is an "open book" and loves to share his story and answer any questions that may arise.

While going through this time of cancer, Kyle has had the opportunity to begin working with the Irok Foundation. This amazing organization helps other families that havechildren who are struggling with cancer and or blood diseases. Kyle is also involved with the local American Cancer Society team, fundraising and planning for Relay for Life to help find a cure for cancer!

Please join in praying for total and complete healing of Kyle's body! All of your support is so greatly appreciated!
