Davon is KICKING cancer

"You have cancer" are words that brings goose bumps to me as I type them! Imagine hearing them and then deciding to have a double mastectomy to raise your odds of a cure! ! ! !
Our friend Davon Herbert has faced this with GREAT DETERMINATION! She is a remarkable example of strength and a let's get it done and move on attitude. She is fearful but bold in how she is facing such a massive change in her life and for her family.
I asked her to explain what she is facing.
"I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids, 2 of which are still at home. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on August 25th of this year. My cancer is classified as Stage IIA, Grade III (very aggressive) I had a bilateral mastectomy on Sept. 10th, followed by a minor infection set-back with one of my drains 10 days later. I had my port placement on Oct. 15th, and will begin a 5 month regimen of chemotherapy on Oct. 24th. Chemo will be Dose Dense AC (Adriamycin and Cytoxan) every 2 weeks for 8 weeks, followed by Taxol every week for 12 weeks.
I have been out of work on Short Term Disability since Sept. 8th and I am going to try to return to work Nov. 3rd and continue during my chemo treatments and barring any complications from the chemo.
Any help that can be given towards these costs would be greatly appreciated!

The medical bills are starting to roll in, and unfortunately will only be getting bigger as Davon continues this battle for her life. Out of pocket costs continue to run their personal accounts dry.
Also realize that all of her deductibles will start over with the start of 2015. Davon is the main source of income for her family and will soon run out of sick days. Davon's husband, Brian, is self-employed and his work load decreases during the winter, therefore they really rely on Davon's income as their main source. The families insurance is through Devon's work.
