<div>September 23rd I am having a fundraiser party. Tickets are $20. The party starts at sunset (7pm) with a sound bath by Georgia, followed by poetry, singing and comedy. There will be refreshments from It’s Alive Kombucha and the dj's will keep us moving till late into the night while our beloved local pole dancers from Body High will give us a feast for our eyes and hearts. <div>It has been a long time dream of mine to hold all of my offerings in one space that benefits the community. For several years now I have lived in what used to be the Joy Emporium back in the late 1800's. The house spirit here and I have bonded, and when Melinda of Good Relations offered their current space to me (fear not they are just moving one block away into the new building) I had to take a leap of faith and say "Yes, I am ready to be witnessed and to hold space for community." In the Joy Emporium you will be immersed in art. Here you will find my art that focuses on sacred geometry, which I believe has the ability to rewire the brain and aids in mental health. As well as film photography that focuses on potent presence in the body and psyche. The gallery will also be home to local artists with a space dedicated for them to have an art show each month. I have long been asked to teach Yantra and mosaic workshops and now I will have a space for that! You can look forward to days immersed in learning new skills from me and other amazing artists. There will be figure drawing sessions with pole dancers modeling and during Arts Alive there will be pole dance performances by your local beloved pole dancers from Body High Pole Dance Studio and beyond. I have a lot of art for sale on my website. Every sale there helps to meet my goal and allows you to have beauty in your home. Art of Joy Emporium

<div>My Thai Massage practice of twelve years will be relocating to The Joy Emporium. Here You can receive therapeutic treatments from me that involve stretching, deep tissue, fascial release, cupping, guasha, and meridian balancing. <div>I now have my YTT yoga teacher certification and am putting together a deeply nourishing system focused on joint and connective tissue, fascial, pelvic floor, and over all motility health.

<div>I will be offering private and small group pole dance classes focusing on embodying your unique movement and rhythm. In dance (as with everything) I am sharing a blueprint and encouraging you to explore and embrace your own unique expression here on Earth.

<div>There will be New Moon sound healings with Georgia Sliker, our brilliant local astrologer and Biogeometrymancer.

<div>I am a practicing doula and look forward to working with other birth workers of Humboldt holding movement, bodywork, and nurturing workshops for the pregnant community.

<div>Those of you who know my story know the challenges I have faced and grown through. I have a large capacity to hold a lot and successfully see it through. It is a big deal to take on this responsibility and I am honored and prepared to do it. Navigating new skills and bureaucratic systems is particularly challenging. I grew up with chronic abuse from both of my parents, became a mother at seventeen and navigated raising three children as a single mother. I am neurodivergent and have several autoimmune and chronic pain disorders. I have been self-employed my entire adult life. Being self-employed can seem romantic, and while some of it is, it is also a huge commitment. One is never really off of work and there is absolutely no security. It is what works for me because I operate best when I am self directed. There are times that I am in a flare up or in a manic/depressive mode and weaving that into self employment is infinitely easier than explaining to a boss why my body or mind simply is not working. It is my intention to highlight and host a safe space for the neurodivergent and chronically ill community as we are an integral part of society. My children have serious autoimmune conditions and they are all uniquely skilled artistically so I hope to help create opportunities for them in the gallery. After the collective trauma of the past several years I believe we need community spaces more than ever to connect with one another face to face offline while focused on activities that promote well being. At the Joy Emporium there will be a variety of ways to do that.

<div>The goal I set for $7000 covers half of permitting fees and some of the things I need to start up. I am very much hoping through donations and people purchasing my art, bodywork, and movement services to make up the rest of what I need beyond that.

<div>Thai massage: $100 an hr prepay, or $450 for 5 hrs.
</div>
<div>Private pole dance lesson: $40 1 hr. Two person lesson: $50. Prepay 5 classes for $150 for one person or $200 for two people

<div>Custom film shoot: mini for $300 or full for $500. Prepay two minis for $400 or two fulls for $800.
</div>
<div>Custom Yantra remedy $300-$400. Prepay two for $400-$600
</div>
<div>Currently custom mosaic orders are $300 a square foot since I am working with glass I purchased pre inflation. Once I am through this glass my mosaic work will increase.
