I’m participating in a volunteer journey to Tanzania, Africa this summer. Since I was a freshman in high school, helping others has been a passion of mine. I spent three summers with the Appalachian Service Project traveling to Kentucky and West Virginia to construct homes for the less fortunate. The ASP experience left me with a goal of wanting to do more someday, and now that I'm graduating in May, my time is here! This journey is through a program called GIVE. On this trip, I will be working to increase educational opportunities among the community, improve infrastructures such as school centers and homes, and conserve the wildlife in Tanzania. GIVE’s promise is a commitment to always put people, projects and principles above profit and I’m very excited to experience and live by this promise. With your help, this dream could come true and any donation is greatly appreciated.
