Thanksgiving for 100 families

I am raising money to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families of The new Mount Home Cavalry Baptist Church in the Englewood Neighborhood of Chicago. I have personally worked with the pastor and head of the children's program for many years to help provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment where the children of the Englewood community can spend their summers.
Many of the families in this neighborhood are food insecure and not able to afford a proper Thanksgiving dinner. My goal is to raise enough funds to purchase 50 meals (turkey, stuffing, vegetables, mashed potatoes, etc), and rent a truck so that I can go down with my family and pass out the meals a couple days before Thanksgiving.
I am working directly with New Mount Hope Cavalry Baptist Church to organize this meal drive, as well as ensure that the food goes to those most in need.
Any amount is a huge help and greatly appreciated. I will also be working to get a discount on groceries from my local store, as well as hopefully some donated turkeys. If I am able to raise additional funds, we will use that money to feed more families.
