Surgery: Third Time is the Charm!

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with a bone disease called Fibrous Dysplasia in early 2006. I was operated on May 6th, 2006  to remove a very large tumor from my skull. I had a follow up appointment at Stanford University in 2009 and had another sugery, though that was minor.  I recently started noticing some symptoms of the tumor returning. The bump on my forehead has grown and I have devolped a twitch in my neck again. So I had a CT scan done, and went down to Stanford again for a follow up. The results were shocking. The tumor is back in multiple places. Compared to the CT in 2009, the tumor is pushing on my brain to 2-3 major places, as well as actually protruding off the inside of my skull and growing into my brain.

I am shocked. I can't believe I need to have surgery again. Dr Khosla(Maxillo-facial plastic surgeon) says I will be out of work for at least 2-3 weeks. Then no heavy lifing for at least 4 weeks after that. I work on an ambulance... I lift people all day. So I will have to be on light duty when I return to work, which makes significantly less per pay check.

Surgery date is December 4th!

Because of all the medical issues I've had this year, I'm out of PTO. Thus I will have zero income during those first 2-3 weeks to pay rent and bills, and buy groceries, gas, prescriptions, ect.

I'm setting this page up to ask for donations to help my recovery process. I set the amount for about 3 weeks of work but more would help during my ongoing recovery.  Anything helps!
