Sick Rick Recovery

To have a disease of any kind is a terrible strain on you mentally, physically, spiritually and often financially. To have a disease that takes away your physical abilities and does so with few clues or indications of what disease is the culprit is that much more difficult. The pain. The uncertain future. The fear....
I have watched as some unknown neurological disease has attacked Rick Schumaker's motor skills and even his ability to speak without trouble. We have waited to hear what might be to blame and what could potentially be done to reverse the course Rick has endured for nearly a year now. Throughout this struggle I have admired Rick's strength in dealing with such a difficult situation, his positive attitude in the face of such frustration, and his patience.
Rick recently has had some additions to his medical team (it is a long list of specialists) that have tried some therapies that seem to be making a difference and may lead to a conclusive diagnosis that will start Rick's path to recovery.
My hope is that along with your thoughts and prayers you may consider contributing to this cause. Going through this ordeal is hard and easing the strain of the financial burdens can only help in Rick's recovery. If you are a friend or family of Rick's you know of his "servants heart" and how he would be there if the roles were reversed. If you are a friend of a friend or family member perhaps a small donation could be your good deed of the day.
