<div>On July 2nd, Allen was in a serious 4-wheeler accident while changing pipe. He was airlifted to Seattle and is currently in the pediatric ICU with a traumatic brain injury, severely fractured jaw, multiple fractures, and an injured spleen.

<div>Allen has already undergone surgery to repair his fractured jaw and is making progress. While these early steps are encouraging, we know the road to recovery may be long and challenging. The Detert family is incredibly thankful for all the overwhelming prayers, love, and outpouring support they have received from the community.

<div>Ok, Allen is making good progress. We are seeing progress everyday. We are waiting on paperwork and a bed to move him to Seattle’s Children’s Hospital for in-house rehab. We also have a MRI scheduled to see if there is bruising on his spinal cord causing the left foot to not respond.

<div>Allen was moved to seattle Children’s Hospital yesterday (7/17). It’s a very nice facility and they are very organized! He even got a couple of hours of therapy in as well! So today he will get at least 3 hours of therapy in. Retraining the brain is exhausting , so at least he should sleep well!

<div>God is good ALL the time! Allen has been making great gains! So much so that he will be coming home this upcoming weekend! Of course his rehab therapies will continue when we get home, but it will be SO good to be back home! We really can’t imagine getting through this without all your prayers and healing thoughts!
