<div>Hi, my name is Louise and I’m fundraising for my best friend Sarah’s son Fynn - who is also my son’s best mate. For anyone that doesn’t know Fynn, he is 12 years old with a heart of gold! Both him and his mum would give their last dollar to anyone in need and I’m here trying to support them in every way possible through this incredibly tough time.

<div>On the 9th of January, Fynn was diagnosed with a tumor in his liver - cancer. Not just any cancer, the rarest kind of liver cancer in the world and it is enormous and aggressive.

<div>Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

<div>Fynn will be the only person in Australia to have it this year. It’s a 1 in 5 million people disease, hard to diagnose, hard to treat and hard to beat.

<div>On Tuesday 3rd of February, Fynn will undergo a 10 hour surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital. 3/4 of his liver will be removed, leaving 1/4 to fight hard and regenerate itself. Post surgey, he will spend 4 days in ICU, followed by 2 weeks + on the ward. After that it’s a watch and act situation about what happens next.

<div>Surgery is plan A with chemotherapy and radiation follow up plan B. The main aim has been to avoid a liver transplant and surgeons are confident that he will.
</div>
<div>They have an incredible tough road ahead. It is scary, and overwhelming and incredibly sad. Fynn will miss starting high school with his best mate, this has hit him the hardest. He is most scared about loosing his hair, anyone who knows him knows that his hair is his thing! Other than these 2 things, he has handled it the best out of everyone. Sarah has raised such an incredible, intelligent, emotionally aware child.

<div>To fully support Fynn, Sarah has stopped working for the time being. All funds raised will go to Sarah and Fynn to help with costs while Sarah isn’t working and to support Fynn with whatever he needs.
