Tiffany's Emergency Medical Fund

Three years ago, Tiffany began experiencing episodes of extreme vertigo. At first, these episodes were sporadic. Over time, they began to be more frequent and more debilitating.  Now Tiffany is at the point that she can no longer maintain full time employment.  If you know Tiffany, you know that she has always maintained both a full time job and a part time job. She is a hard worker, an army veteran, and someone that you can always rely upon for support.  Giving up her job was one of the hardest decisions that she has ever made. The vertigo makes it nearly impossible for her to drive. She has multiple doctors appointments weekly, with copays of up to $60 per visit. She is currently fighting to receive disability, and was recently threatened with eviction. 

The vertigo also effects her nutrition. During these spells, she becomes violently ill. She cannot eat, and survives on a liquid diet.  She is unable to cook for herself, needs assistance with walking, bathing, and personal maintanance. This condition is serious. She has seen multiple ENTs, Nuerologists,  Vestibular Therapists, Physical Therapists, and currently a Gastroenterologist. Thus far, they have not figured out what the issue stems from. One doctor even said that this may be a new kind of vestibular disorder for which they currently have no treatment. 

We are attempting to raise money to assist Tiffany with paying her medical expenses, cover two months of rent and utilities while she waits for a decision from disability, and pay for a PCA to help her when she is unable to care for herself. Many of us have taken turns getting groceries, cooking, and driving, but we need your help!

Tiffany is fairly embarrassed to be asking for help. I told her that her condition is just as life altering as a cancer diagnosis.  She has finally agreed to let us try and raise funds to help her as she has helped many of us in the past. Please donate what you can!
