The Big Half for Lenny

Hello everyone. As most of you may already know, my best mate Lenny piper rectal cancer has returned after 8 years of remission. The cancer specialists have said that he needs a colostomy on March 2nd to finally remove the cancerous tumors. This will save Lenny’s life but he will have to deal with many obstacles and challenges for the rest of his life as a result of the Op. The operation is huge and will require a lengthy rehabilitation period which will mean Lenny won’t be able to work for considerate period of time. As he is self employed, he doesn’t have sick pay like most of us and as such finances will be a source of real worry. As his friends that adore Len, I’m sure we all agree that worrying about money shouldn’t be an issue for Lenny whilst he deals with the physical and psychological challenges that his post op recovery will present. He needs to be truly focused on his recovery and if we can all help a little financially then this gives him a wonderful opportunity to get better! So I have decided to run the London half marathon on the 1st March 2020 with all proceeds going to Lenny and his family. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. Wes Cain
