Hello, my name is Marie, and I’m reaching out to ask for support for my niece, Georgina, her partner, Nathan, and their three young children.
On the 1st of November, their lives were turned upside down when they lost their much-loved son, seven years old Logan - affectionately known as Logie Bear. Just three days earlier, Logan had suffered suspected heart failure at school and was flown to Perth, where he was placed on life support. Sadly, he passed away shortly after.
Logan was full of energy and curiosity. Recently diagnosed with Autism, he faced his own challenges, but he was also funny, caring, and full of love. He enjoyed fishing, playing Nintendo with his older brother Bailey, and spending time with his two younger sisters, Maci and Eliana. Animals were his greatest passion, and horse riding was his favourite activity.
This young family is now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye to their boy while managing the financial strain that comes with such a sudden loss. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover funeral costs and allow Georgina and Nathan to give Logan the beautiful farewell he deserves in his hometown of Kalgoorlie, once his body is released from Perth.
Any contribution - no matter the size - will help ease the burden and give this family the time and space they need to grieve and heal. Your kindness and support mean more than words can say.
On behalf of Georgina, Nathan and family I would like to thank everyone for their thoughtful wishes and kind donations. What has been raised is just amazing - the donations far exceeded our expectations.
Initially some of the funds raised will be transferred to Georgina and Nathan to cover expenses they have incurred during this traumatic period.
Once funeral arramgements are finalised, Logan's funeral and related costs will be paid. This will be paid direct to the funeral home.
Any remaining funds will then be transferred to Georgina and Nathan, as it is their wish to make various donations in Logan's name to the services that were so helpful and caring to them in their time of need.
