Help the Donald Dean Family

This past Saturday, October 11 our family gathered for a celebration mass in honor of our mother who passed away earlier this year. Many family members traveled long distances to attend including my brother Donald, Tricia and the kids. Donald and Tricia are the proud parents of their six children. After service we had a small gathering of the family and close friends at a local firehouse. Mom even in spirit had us all remembering the years past of growing up together in a small hamlet along the Hudson River.
Three days later, my brother Donald lost his wife Tricia Dean very unexpectedly on Tuesday Oct 12, 2014. Tricia was only 39 years old passed from a blood clot in her lungs that moved to her heart. Nothing could have prepared him and the family for this shock.
Leaving behind 3 boys, age 4, 6, 9, two girls ages 11, 15 and their oldest son age 19 who is on his own now. Don and Tricia have always been willing to give to others even when they didn't necessarily have it to give. Donald being a long haul trucker is gone entirely during the week. His wife Tricia was a stay at home mom. They struggled as do many but managed over the years to purchase a small fixer upper house in rural upstate NY. Donald would divide his time on weekend’s home between the children and making repairs. But as is understandable, the children were given the most attention. My brother believed in work and family. He never asked anything from anyone. Living paycheck to paycheck he spent money on the family necessities. He never thought one of those necessities would have been life insurance on Tricia.
Donald now has a very serious predicament. He will need a full time live in nanny during the week while he works or needs to find a new job. He also needs some time to figure out what to do and doesn’t want to have to leave the children so soon after the loss of their mother. He has a house that still needs many repairs. Anyone who knows my brother, and many do. He is a proud man that never asked anyone for anything. Well pride will have to be put aside. I talked to him and there is no other way. I am asking for help. Donald and I were always very close.
