Help me fight the fight against FA!

HI, my name is Mitchell Martino and at the age of 11 I was diagnosed with a disease known as Freidrich's Ataxia(FA). All throughout my childhood, I was never able to walk decent enough to not look drunk, I was always picked on, I was never good at sports although I always tried.  After I was diagnosed with FA I didnt really understand just what the disease was until I felt my walking and my fine motor skills deteriorating so I looked up my disease online and realized it was not getting any better all of my cooardination and balance would basically leave me in a wheelchair.  So in my mid 20's I signed up for a patient registry, they would email me places that were holding drug trials and my most recent email was from the USF in Tampa, one of the stipulations was for me to go out there in late November early December.  This is not the cure, this is for the cure.  If there is a way for me to help find a cure you bet your ass Im going to do whatever it takes to help find it!  I need help going to Tampa from Brooklyn not just the price of a hotel room but for the plane tickets for me and a travel companion.  Help me help put a stop to FA!
