Support the Ten Eycks

We are a family in trouble, facing a ton of unknowns. Bill has a brain tumor, diagnosed on October 3, 2014. They've told him it needs to come out very soon because if it gets any bigger, it can cut off the flow of spinal fluid and cause brain swelling. He will be likely getting it removed on 10/28/14. We are all pretty nervous, but we are sustained by a strong faith, and that is where we maintain our focus. Bill is a man who has been married for close to 12 years now, and they have four beautiful children together, the reason behind everything they do.



The support we get will go quickly, as anyone reading this can probably attest to. Because it is where all of our support system is, and for multiple other reasons, we are likely moving back to our home state of Maryland after moving to Texas less than a year ago. The expenses for that alone will be extensive. Also, Bill has to drop both of the college courses he was taking to better himself. He was at the top of his class so far in both of them. Because he is dropping them, he has to pay back the loans he received, some of which he spent on a laptop computer, books, etc. We need to sell our house here, and also find a place to live in Maryland that will actually likely be more expensive than Texas. Medical bills out the ears are a given, and if surgery goes well and the tumor tests benign, there are still a tremendous amount of bills expected in the future. Bill has suffered from chronic pain for many years that doctors suspect may be Multiple Sclerosis. He also has disc problems throughout his spine and nerve problems in his foot, all of which seem to be demanding surgery in lieu of multiple unsuccessful treatments.

Bill is doing everything he can to avoid becoming disabled, because he loves what he does and wants to provide for his family. But the fact is, it's possible, and we want to do everything we can to be prepared for that.
