Hi, my name is Andrew and this is my wife Jamie and our beautiful family of 6. I was unexpectedly notified yesterday that my employment as a psychiatric nurse practitioner would be terminated in one week.

I started working for my current employer 13 years ago as a brand new psychiatric nurse and later transitioned to work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for the past 6 years. I have been privileged to work with/help individuals and families in crisis who experienced a wide variety of mental health conditions which comes from a passion of living through my own mental health symptoms as well as family who manages with mental health.

Like many I have experienced challenges in the workplace with increased demands/undesirable changes and personally that likely impacted areas of my practice which contributed to late documentation which is the primary reason I was given for my termination.

I realize that there are many other worthy causes and those who have a much greater need than we do but would appreciate any prayers, words of encouragement, or consideration. Any received funds would go towards paying monthly bills in our family of which I am the sole financial provider. I am hopeful to gain new employment as soon as possible however I am uncertain of the timeframe as elements such as healthcare credentialing can be delayed when starting a new practice.
