<div>Hi everyone, it is with a heavy heart and great humility that I am returning to the GoFundMe platform in order to attempt to survive. As most of you are probably aware by now, <strong>I have been diagnosed with cancer</strong>. I do not yet have an oncologist (cancer doctor) to give me more details to give to you, but the situation is dire. The cancer is at the base of my esophagus and is restricting the flow of foods to my stomach. I have lost about 60 pounds in the past two months, lose most of the solid food that I eat, and I hurt inside. This form of cancer usually has no noticeable symptoms until it is in a later stage, and I suppose that means I am in a later stage. I had no idea this was coming.

<div>Last October, I got a cold that just tore me up for about two weeks, and as a result, I managed to screw up my bellybutton from coughing. I had assumed my symptoms then had something to do with a hiatal hernia because of it. Sara and I started setting some money aside to get it looked at over the next month or so, and then she was gone. All of my life's priorities shifted drastically, and this has been growing silently all this time. I started having issues swallowing about five months ago and attributed it to poor diet and stress from Sara's loss. As time went on, things got to be more difficult, and I started saving up for a visit to the gastroenterologist. I wound up in the ER before I could get there. They gave me a prescription for Prilosec and sent me on my way. Along with the Prilosec, I wound up getting a nasty cold from the hospital and had to go back about a week later because I was having issues choking on the drainage from that.

<div>The gastroenterologist I was referred to by the hospital kept changing the price of the surgery for out of pocket, and I had just about given up on getting the operation done when I found another guy in North Texas. I drove up a few weeks ago for a consult and then for the surgery last Thursday. I woke up from the anesthesia, and within thirty minutes, I was reeling from the cancer diagnosis, upset with one of my family members over politics and conspiracy theories, and hiking back to my car. I got in it, charged my phone enough to post the "I have cancer" post on Facebook, and started driving home from North Texas.

<div>I don't have a clear picture of what is going to happen, what my prognosis is, or anything, and the only oncologist I have found so far has an appointment with me on December 19th. <strong>At the rate I am losing weight, I will not make it to that appointment.</strong> I have an appointment for MAP assistance on Tuesday, but I have no idea how that will go, and what I need is something to happen sooner rather than later, so the hunt for an oncologist is on, and with that, the hunt for the money to pay said oncologist. I also will need to pay rent somehow and bills and all of that stuff as I am not working. I am exhausted from the simple act of eating at this point and can do very little other than sit or stand around. I have a few DJ gigs coming up that I am, of course, looking forward to but am prepared to bow out on if absolutely necessary. The first one is this coming Friday the 13th at Elysium, and I hope to see you guys there if you can make it.
