Anthony Joyner. born april,29th 2007 he was the most beautiful baby I have ever seen 10 fingers 10 toes beautiful blue eyes blonde hair. I was the happiest mommy in the world. On april,30th 2007 the day after he was born my whole world caved in on me anthony was diagnosed with a terminal heart defect and would haft to have several open heart surgeries to save his life so I did what any parent would do I dried my eyes and we started our very long journey to recovery anthony was admitted to st.joseph children's hospital in tampa florida april 30 ,2007 to prepare for his first open heart surgery. When Anthony was four months old he underwent his first open heart. And again when he was seven months and also another one at nine months. All three surgeries before he turned one. We were only home that whole year 26days but was totally worth the tears and sleepless nights to finally see my baby come home. Fast forward seven years and its time for another surgery this time at Cincinnati children's hospital for anthony final repair on his heart. On January 7th 2015 Anthony underwent a grueling 12hr surgery to repair his heart and to also take a softball size aneurysm off his heart the heart surgeon wouldn't even give us a percentage of success due to the severity of the complexity of the heart. Finally the surgery was done and Anthony did amazing so I thought. Several hrs after surgery anthony took a turn for the worse and the dr.s didn't know why so on January,8th they took him down for an mri and we were faced with our worst fears Anthony had a massive stroke. And was fighting for his life at this point. The stroke affected the whole left side of Anthony body making it to where he could not move it Anthony had several seizures for days after that. Now with that being said my baby walked into that hospital a happy 8year boy and the next day was fighting for his life. And the saddest part is the surgery they did didn't even work the surgeon put the wrong heart valve in and five days after surgery it started leaking again. So at this point I started asking why? What went wrong the surgeon initially said Anthony had a small hole "ASD" on the right upper chamber of his heart that he failed to close prior to removing the aneurysm. Which basically means with them not closing the hole when they started to remove the aneurysm a blood clot got through and caused the stroke. Several days later the same dr. Came to me after I started to raise some concern about the medical negotiation they recanted the story and said the whole was never their. So with that being said I had to put all that in the back of my mind and focus on Anthony getting better. So finally after three months in the hospital with intense physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy Anthony was doing better. But unfortunately we still had another hurtle to jump Anthony has to undergo another open heart so I took finding another surgeon in my own hands. And I found this amazing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon in Stanford California who agreed to do anthony surgery. So im asking all my friends and family to plz help in any way u can. And to PLZ SHARE ANTHONY STORY AS MUCH AS U CAN. In hopes of us getting their and getting this life saving surgery done plz help me save Anthony life he needs this surgery he can not live without it thank u all in advance.
