Back to School Supply Drive

Hello! My name is Jenn Schneider and I’ve teamed up with Jessica Kelly Harcina to help collect school supplies for children in our communities who are in need. With the raising cost of everything these days it can be difficult to make ends meet. It honestly might be a choice between feeding your family or buying school supplies. This left me feeling helpless, so I began looking for a way to help and came across Jessica’s Facebook post asking for school supplies. She buys most of the supplies herself to make an impact in her community and will hand deliver them. I felt moved to join her and my mind started pouring over ways to have the biggest impact in the community. She had been requesting supply donations, but I felt maybe providing a way to donate without having to get the supplies would make it easier for people who want to help, but may not have the time or ability to make it to the store. I know everything is super expensive these days and hard for everyone, but the simple act of supplying a book bag, pencils, and notebooks can provide the biggest impact. It can help a child start the year confident and set them up for success.

Currently, Jessica has a list of 90-100 children, but we would love to help more! We are aware of other community groups that do book bag donations and we are not associated with those, but are doing this independently to try and make a difference for our community. We come together to ask our community to rally and help our kids thrive. Every dollar is greatly appreciated and no donation is too small. All money collected from this drive will be used to purchase and supply each child with a book bag filled with standard back to school supplies. As Dr. Seuss said “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot. Nothing is going to get better. It’s not”. So, let’s work together to start the change. Thank you! :)
