Jimmie Penfield Jr Medical Expenses

Donation protected

On 8/18/2017 my father, Jimmie Penfield Jr. traveled to MUSC in Charleston for an invasive scan to find out why he was having so many health issues. Always a hard worker and never to complain, they new something was just not right and after the scan the doctors gave him the devastating news that at age 49 he has Stage 3 (B) Esophageal Cancer.
Before they found this out he had his gallbladder removed.  He was out of work for the surgery and recovery.   He noticed the pain wasn't getting any better.  Then he got dianosed with cancer.   The cancer has traveled from his esophagus to his stomach and is now too large to remove.
The treatment plan is 3 rounds of radiation and chemo with a re-check afterwards to see if the tumor is responding.  If the response is good they will be able to perform surgery to try and remove what they can.
After 20 years in the construction field my father lost his job at VC Summer a month ago, the day he returned back to work from his gallbladder surgery.

My mom has numerous health issues and is unable to work anymore to help with expenses (which hurts her as well, because she was a nurse and has dedicated her life in helping others).

Her issues are too many to list. My father is a hard-working Christian man who wants to provide for his family, but the blows keep coming and we just need support to help him realize that he can rest and not worry so much about us and concentrate on his health and getting well.

Asking for support is very hard for our family. But there comes a time and a place where sometimes pride needs to be put aside and needs must be met. There is no way we can do this without help, both spiritually and financially.

All money donated will be put towards medical bills and household expenses until my father can get back on his feet.
Thank you in advance and thank you for lifting my family and my father up in prayer!

(He has worked at Dupont, Isenbeck, Flours, and the list goes on.  Has been known as Pieyaow and Hightower on the work sites.  Pipe welder for over 25 years.)
