<div>I created this go fund me for Larissa McDonald and her family, her husband and three kids, who are struggling to financially make ends meet. Larissa was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2020 and has fought and beat it twice. She underwent a stem cell transplant recently that has compromised her immune system tremendously. She was intubated for the third time and put on a ventilator with a life threatening virus in October. She is still currently at UVA fighting for her life, learning to walk, talk and eat again. Her husband has remained faithfully by her bedside every day that he can, between working in Harrisonburg and traveling to Charlottesville almost daily. They are currently residing in a camper in a local campground because they were in the process of building a home prior to her most recent illness. They have encountered increased unexpected expenses with their home and mountains of medical bills recently that have created a true financial hardship for their family. With gas prices, so high and the constant need to travel to UVA and back, it has become very taxing to her husband Bryce as well. We are reaching out to the community, and those who know Larissa and her family, and the battles that she has fought in the last few years for her life, to rally around this family and help them in such a difficult and trying time. Thank you to those who have helped already and to those who find it laid on their hearts to help.
