Hurricane Maria Disaster Relief

Cesar and his family as direct victims of hurricane Hugo in 1989 lost everything. They lived in a shelter for over 5 months and with help from our family we were able to move forward in life. He knows how desperate it is to be in a situation like the one that our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico are now facing. As you all may know hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto Rico and other islands. "Help" is on its way and have been there but unfortunately it's not getting to smaller towns in Puerto Rico like Humacao, Jayuya and Isabela. They have no electricity and no drinkable water and have been one of the hardest hits in Puerto Rico; they cannot reach Atm's or gas stations. My family (Arlene) is okay thank God but my grandmothers house was completely destroyed as pictured above. She passed away a long time ago but my uncle who lived there now has no where to go. My cousin also lost her place after her and husband worked so hard on getting. I also have two uncles who lost everything. Cesar 's family is ok but he also has a uncle and cousin who lost everything. Cesar has ederly sick family members that need help and medicine. We don't have anymore pictures because they have no reception to send it to us. At this point they are on survival mode! They are trying to stay together and gather as much food as they can. They are in need of generators, water and food. We are trying to help those that are in need and are not getting the help. We have donated a few things to local charities but it's not getting to our towns and it's very hard knowing we can't get to them. We are asking for any amount of donation! Everything that is donated will be accounted for. We will have pictures and information on everything purchased ! We want to help supply them with daily needs. Our family is also planning on going to Puerto Rico directly if we can, to our towns and take what supplies we can.
