Baby Taylor

Hi family and friends,
This little guys name is Taylor Rawson and he was born 6 weeks early.  Nicole (his mom), rushed to the hospital bleeding and drove herself to the hospital in hopes of saving baby Taylor. Nicole was suffering from Placenta Abruptio. She had to have a crash cesarean section without time for the anesthesia because they couldn't establish a good vein due to her blood loss. (Imagine that excruciating pain)  Nicole endured a lot of pain and is facing a painful and long recovery but it was due to her quick thinking and instincts as a mom that she not only saved her own life but baby Taylor's life.
Baby Taylor weighed 4 lbs at birth and while he could breathe on his own, the doctors soon discovered that baby Taylor has a very rare form of Turner's Syndrome. He was placed on reverse isolation because his WBC was very low and they held feeds from mom. The good news is that Taylor will have normal cognitive development. 
While Nicole's battle ahead is a hard one,  Taylors is gonna be a bit harder, partially due to the fact that he is a premie. It is uncertain how long he will remain in the hospital, while he no longer is in isolation, he needs to tolerate his feeds, gain a bit of weight to support his own growth. He remain on a NG tube until that can happen. 
With Taylors diagnose of Mosaic Turners disease, he has a higher rate of gonadoblastoma (cancer) that is associated with abnormal development of the gonads. He will need to be monitored very carefully the first year of his life because it can show up that early in his growth and development. 
Brandon (dad) faces the challenging task of helping Nicole with her recovery, watching over Riley (big sister) and being there for the hospital visits and appointments. Nicole is faced with her personal recovery, being present for Taylor to help with feeds, meeting with doctors and appointments while still being there for Riley. Nicole is unable to work due to all this and Brandon is unable to keep steady hours due to his role has a supportive husband and dad.
