Susan's mother's funeral fund

COMING TOGETHER AS A FILM COMMUNITY: A few days ago, when our crew & standins had our first day of camera tests for THE CHOICE, one of our local crew members, Susan Buffington, received a phone call while we were all there working together. She immediately fell to the floor, wailing. We all stopped and prayed. We did not know the words on the other end of that call, but we knew it was great sorrow. Susan's mother had just died of a heart attack.
Another crew member, Keith, scooped her up in his arms, held her as she continued the painful phone call, and then helped her outside, then another crew member drove her off set. The director, producers, actors, grips, and every department just stood there, with tears in our eyes, praying and wanting to do more.
We are a film family, and when tragedy strikes, its important that we be there for each other. Keith is a close friend of Susans, and when I asked him what I could do aside from praying, he said, "help start a fund to pay for her mom's funeral", and thats what I'd like to do.
Many of you have had your hair/make-up done by Susan over the years (Hunger Games, Eastbound & Down, Sleepy Hollow, Heart of the Country, Lincoln, 21 Jump St, 22 Jump St, The Conspirator, The Last Song, Dear John, One Tree Hill, Shallow Hal, The Patriot, and many more local films here in the Southeast). Its our time to give back to her and rally in support to help her through this difficult and unexpected time of mourning.
