Hi,
I am trying to raise money to help out a very close friend that I've known for about 40 years!
Audrey has always been independant and and has overcome many hardships over the years, much of what's been private.
Audrey has been diagnosed with Sceloderma with secondary Raynauds disease. Scelodactyly to be specific (fingers).
While trying to heal, she got an infection on top of gangrene, and is now being treated with antibiotics. She is taking about 8 drugs until what they call an auto-amputation of the gangrene on her finger, which means they hope it will slough off... but It could take months.
Audrey has lost about 90 hours of work from being in the hospital, doctors visits and missing work from being home sick in pain. Audrey is a dental assistant, which requires the use of her fingers. This has been devistating since this disease has attacked her fingers. As a majority of assistants and hygentists, she has no insurance. Audrey's employer has cut her hours going into November and December. She realizes a new job is needed but her illness could take months to get her back to 100% to start looking for a new job. She is struggling now and will be struggling for the next couple of months with bills and rent to pay. She needs to catch up financially because it will be a snowball effect.
She is too proud to ask for help. Her family has been great in helping as much as they can but she needs more, So I am reaching out to her friends, and friends of friends and friends of friends of friends and so on......
It would be great to see her friends help her. She won't EVER show she is desperate but I know she is. The added stress of her financial obligations is only adding to her illness.
