On December 7th, 2020 Alina & Ryan opened the first KOJO store. The idea was formed to create transformative products that redefine what plant-based consumption can achieve and make people’s lives better in the process.
Little did they know back in 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit that they would be celebrating the first stores opening, let alone multiple locations in London.
It's been a year that has tested each of us in ways that we never imagined. Asked all of us to adapt, added complexity to our work, challenges to overcome and demanded additional resolve and commitment in areas of our lives that extend well beyond our work.
From the opening of our second store in Liverpool Street on the 2nd September, to new offices to accommodate our fast growing pace, shortlisted on the R200 Big Hospitality Awards for ‘Scalable Concept’ and committing to become a carbon net-zero company by spring 2022.
While some things about KOJO have changed over the first year, the important things haven’t. From the ethos of our brand and equality within, to products that can change the face of sustainability, to the very best ingredients and customer experience that brings each store to life.
We have never stopped setting the pace that others try to match. With an offering of Coffee, Juices, Shakes, Bakes with the addition of Hot & Cold Food TO GO.
KOJO is the love child of Pret A Manger & Joe & the Juice (Just better) – a healthier choice, 100% of the time.
This donation will help us to continue operating whilst we find the right investor to bring our vision to a community near you, with a dedicated team and passion for a sustainable environment.
