<div>Hi everyone, we are organizing this fundraiser for our dear friend Laura, who recently underwent an emergent liver transplant surgery due to her medical diagnosis of Autoimmune Hepatic Cirrhosis of the liver.

<div>Recently, her health took a turn for the worse when suddenly, she found herself at the ER with life threatening complications due to her disease. In a week's time, her disease intensified so rapidly she was in urgent need of a liver transplant. So urgent, her case was presented to the liver transplant board and approved for her liver transplant, which, due to her rapid health decline, she jumped to the top of the UNOS list and was blessed to receive a liver in less than 48 hours.

<div>While she is incredibly grateful for this second chance, her journey forward will be a long one. After her liver transplant, she did run into some complications due to various reasons such as severe blood loss during surgery, undergoing a second surgery due to a blood clot and a leak. She also has to stay in ICU longer due to these complications. She currently is still in the hospital and has been since July 28th, 2025.

<div>Laura now is trying to heal enough to be discharged, but even with that ahead, she faces more financial burdens once she leaves the hospital, such as:
</div>
<div>- Extensive follow-up appointments, care, and treatments
</div>
<div>- Lifelong medication to prevent organ rejection
</div>
<div>- Time off work during recovery
</div>

<div>This, of course, is an enormous financial burden on Laura, as she is a single-income-based home.
</div>

<div>Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Laura's medical bills, recovery expenses, and support during this critical time she is taking to heal and recover.
