Send Dani to see Nanny
As you probably know, Dani (you might know her as Booty, from MRD) is Canadian and moved over to live in the UK with me 7 years ago. The rest of her family still live in Canada and while we try to get back over there to see them as often as we possibly can, we definitely don't get to spend nearly as much time over there as we would like.
Dani's 92 year old grandmother, known to everyone as Nanny, is not very well. She's had dementia for a while and in the last couple of months the progression has accelerated quite a bit. Dani is very close to Nanny and would like to go and spend some time with her while she still has lucid moments, but our circumstances mean that we just can't afford to buy a plane ticket at the moment.
We would be incredibly grateful to anyone who could help us even in a small way with the costs for this, which are basically the cost of a plane ticket for Dani and a small amount of money to cover bills while Dani's not working, as she doesn't get paid holiday from her job.
Any extra money that is raised will be donated to Dementia UK, so no matter how much has been raised, your donations will be incredibly helpful in fighting dementia, which affects not just people with the illness, but also has a tremendous impact on their families.
