Fusion Repeater for Columbia SC Area VHF/UHF Coms

The local Hams in the Columbia area are interested in getting a Fusion Digital/Analog repeater on air to enhance radio communications with other Hams, local, statewide and Internationally via the network. I have an analog repeater up (on air 30 years plus) and would like to update the system to Digital to enhance the communication capabilities that the Fusion system provides. There is a DMR network in this state, however, there is only one Fusion system fully operational in the Rockhill area (an hour or so away) and none in the Midlands area. We have worked hard in obtaining, licensing, and training our youth here in the Midlands as well as recruit top notch elders as mentors. We have lots of young Hams eager to learn and preserve the hobby. The Fusion (C4FM) Digital Repeater system would certainly aid our Hams with communications in times of emergencies, training, communications with public service personnel when commercial power is down and a whole host of other planned or unplanned events. The local hams as well as hams from other states could communicate quickly and efficiently with this new system when in place.  Our goal is to have the system in place by Summer (June 2020)
We humbly ask that you consider a donation to our cause so that we may pursue this project which will help educate our youth and provide them with a means of positive learning, bring something new and exciting to our seasoned Hams as well as providing better communications with our Public Servants when needed. The funds would purchase the Fusion Repeater system by Yaesu, the programming PC, access radio for programming and the cabling and accessories. The tower, antenna and hardline are already in place.
