Thank you for supporting my dream in opening Beasley Family Therapy Services, LLC!
I am grateful to be working and serving transgender youth and their families as well many others who identify within the TLGBQ+ community. I am currently in the process of trying to get credentialed with insurance panels and the downside to that is that I can not bill the insurance companies for the clients I was able to bring over with me when I changed practice locations. This limits the access to funds that I previously had. My business is also too new for a new business loan.
I have been working in private practice the past three years and decided to venture out on my own! I have secured a beautiful office in the revitalized downtown area of Ypsilanti. My office is located in the historic Centennial Plaza building. I’m raising money to help cover initial start up costs related to opening a new therapy space.
I’m raising money to purchase furniture for the lobby to replace folding chairs with more permanent and comfortable seating. The administrative office needs a desk and chair in addition to everyday supplies and a special lock to keep client documents that are stored on premise compliant with HIPAA laws. This office will double as a therapy office and will need two lamps, a side table for the therapist, a chair for the therapist, and seating for clients. In the second office which is the main therapy space I am looking to purchase a bookshelf, a chair for the therapist, a side table or mobile computer stand, and other therapeutic instruments for my clients such as fidget cubes, art supplies, and play therapy toys. In addition, some of the funds will go towards the rent and utilities as I get credentialed. I also will be using the funds to get my website up and running and my logo and promotional materials together to increase my business.
Mental health is an important piece of an individual’s overall health. I am humbled to get to do the work I do and I hope you can help me get my office to the next level.
