Funeral for Brian S. McGinnis

There is no easy way to say or do anything in a time like this. 

In the early hours of Monday, September 4, I received a phone call I never imagined I would get. I was informed that my brother, Brian Scott McGinnis, had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.

I, along with the whole family, have been in various states of shock since then. 

Nobody is ever prepared to bury a brother or a son. Nobody.

Unfortunately, Brian did not have a life insurance policy or other savings for such an event because, really, who thinks they would need it at 38 years old?

I hate to create something like this, but funerals and burials are expensive and I've created this to help defray some of the costs. I entered $1000 as the goal just because I don't know the costs yet.

Funeral arrangements are being made today. I can update this page when I have detailed information. I know viewings will be held at Thomas L. Nied Funeral Home located at 7441 Washington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218 (in Swissvale).

I know not everyone can contribute. And that is perfectly understandable. If you are unable to do so, really, I understand; if you cannot contribute, all I ask is that you share this fundraiser and keep my brother and our mother in your thoughts and prayers.
