Funeral services for Jose Menduina

Dear visitors,

On Wednesday morning, the 4th of April, tragedy struck our family. The doctors declared my father brain dead.

Everything began just the previous Thursday. My father collapsed for an unknown reason and we immediately rushed him to the hospital to only go through one heart break after another. Just when things seemed like they were getting better, just when he seemed like he could possibly wake, he didn't. The doctors tried everything to keep him alive and after multiple operations and medicine, combined with dialysis, life support, and continuous tests, they declared him brain dead on the 4th of April. He had gone through an aneurysm in his brain caused from a blood clot that built up. The aneurysm proceeded to cause his kidneys to fail completely and he stopped being responsive since the second day in the hospital. He proceeded to go through another aneurysm after his first operation which occurred then on the other side of his brain. He was on life support and dialysis this entire time, trying their best to keep him alive as they tried to operate him. Trying to save his brain and kidneys. He proceeded to stay in a coma even after they removed his sedation and pain killers. The doctors and nurses did everything they could for him and we cannot thank them enough for all the hard work and support they have given us. My family lost not only our father, but our best friend. He gave us everything we could have possibly asked for. He dedicated his life to us. 

Now I come to you, my friends. In hope that we could come together and give my father the proper burial that he deserves. Unfortunately my family has been struck the hardest financially. He was the biggest provider in our home. We are trying our best to put our broken hearts together to figure out how we are going to live without him. We cannot afford the medical bills or the funeral we'll have and this is why we have decided to come and make a gofundme page in hopes that we can get some help in the hardest time of our lives. We will be in the process of organizing the funeral in the next few days. Updates will be posted here.

We pray everyday and will continue to pray everyday that his soul will find peace.
