My mother Carmen fought for 2 1/2 years against uterine cancer, and on February 3rd, 2018, she lost that battle. She was a mom, wife, grandmother and dear friend to so many. She made connections wherever she went, and when people speak of her, they remember her infectious laugh, her hilarious sense of humor, her giving heart and bigger-than-life personality.
Though we knew we did not have long with my mother, her death was very unexpected, as her doctors had hoped from anywhere from 6 months to a year, but fate saw fit to take my mother away sooner, and we are left to take care of her services unexpectedly.
It pains me to have to ask, but because my mother deserves a service with dignity, and her family and friends deserve to say goodbye, I'm asking for anyone, no matter how small the amount to make a donation to help us put my mother to rest in peace.
For those that have already made a donation to me directly, this request does not go to you, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
