Funeral of Mike Truong

I've started this GoFundMe page to fund funeral expenses for my Dad, Mike Truong. I understand that due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, you may not be able to attend Mike’s funeral. Please consider donating if you can't attend his funeral in person and join the live stream (will be posted later). 


Funeral information: 

The viewing will be held on the following dates and time, and it will be at the Winford Funerals (8514 Tybor Dr. Houston, TX 77074). 

6/10th (Wed) from 3PM to 6PM
6/11th (Thurs) from 9AM to 6PM
6/12th (Fri) from 9AM to 11AM

The memorial service will be held on 6/12th (Fri) from 11:30AM to 12:30PM at the Winford Funerals (8514 Tybor Dr, Houston, TX 77074).

Following the service, the burial will take place on 6/12th (Fri) at 2PM, and location will be at the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077). Please rsvp if you will be attending the service and burial on Friday here: http://evite.me/vkqbw9nkQy 


About Mike Truong:


As a father, he has taught me and my sister many things throughout our childhood. When I was in high school, he taught me that nothing would be handed to me in life and that I'd have to earn it. He would often tell me about the challenges he faced in the beginning of his business and how hard he had to work to grow it. I remember there were nights when he worked all night and came home in the morning, just in time to drive me to school and stop by Shipley’s to pick up some warm doughnuts for me.


That was the character of my father. He worked hard to support us, but he was also a loving father. Mike Truong was known as many things. To me, a father. To Cintia, a husband. And to everyone else, a dear friend. He was a blessing given to us by God and I can confidently say that we were so lucky to have known him throughout our lives.


To my father, I love you, and I pray you rest in peace until the day we meet again in our Father’s house.
