Funeral & Extra Services For The Pennington Family

This year has been tough for a lot of people, and will continue to be tough as we go along into the new year. On Wednesday December 30th 2020 my mother, Vicki, my little brother Cameron and my little sister Destini had fallen victim to a senseless act of Domestic Violence. It is hard enough to plan just one funeral in these trying times, my older brother and I are now responsible to plan three. 

My mother was a selfless woman, the type to give you the shirt off her own back if you needed it. Growing up in a single parent household, SHE was my superhero. I wanted to be like her in every way. Strong, Determined, Smart, and most importantly, Caring. She taught my older brother and I not only how to take care of ourselves but other people as well. She taught us to be self sufficient, from washing the dishes and our own clothes to changing the brakes on our car. If any of her children needed anything she taught us what we needed to know to get it or she worked her ass off to get it for us. I am forever grateful for everything she has done for me while she was here and will be forever grateful to pass down the information she has provided me to my own children one day. Thank you Mom for making us into the men we are today. 

My little brother Cameron was easily the smartest freaking kid I knew. His eagerness to learn was truly incredible to see as we grew up. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little jealous of him because he made learning something new look so damn easy. I remember all the times where I would try to stump him with some random fact about what ever and he would hit me with the "I know", then proceed to give me a random fact about something and to be honest, I had no idea at all what he was talking about. His love for music, art and games were incredible. Self taught musician on the keyboard, former drum major, amateur artist and the sweetest little brother anyone could ask for. 

My little sister Destini the artist, the creator. Growing up this girl used to draw so much stuff it could cover 12 refrigerators. We had an artist on our hands and boy did she create. This was the start of the journey she strived for in so many ways. She was constantly full of ideas that once she finished one project it was off to another one. I am pretty sure she has an Instagram account for every side project out there. I knew every time her birthday or Christmas came around I was going to get the best brother award because I ALWAYS came with the best art supplies for her ( she told me not to tell anyone that )! She was goofy and always full of energy. 

I appreciate everyone who has reached out to my brother and I. We really do appreciate it. Everything donated here will go directly to funeral arrangements.
