Funeral help for Carlisle's RedJacketMan (Billy)

Carlisle's infamous Red Jacket Man aka Billy sadly passed away from Covid-19 complications on Monday 28th December 2020 at The Cumberland Infirmary.

Billy leaves behind his son Sean and several grandchildren. Sean sadly lost his partner Gina under the same circumstances on Tuesday 22nd December 2020 so this go fund me has been set up to help support Sean and his family with funeral expenses but to also arrange some type of memorial to Billy who was so widely known and loved around the city.

Billy was known for his love of a good time on the dance floor but also for always wearing the colour Red. A Facebook tribute page to Billy was established in 2012 documenting the public's encounters with the lovely spirit he was (The life, times and adventures of Red Jacket Man).
I met Billy when I worked at Subway and would always sit and talk with him about cinema history and we even went to watch a few films together. He was like an adopted grandad to me as I never got to meet mine and he is already so missed. 

I'm hoping the people of Carlisle can come together and show their love and support in memory of Billy and let his son Sean know just how valued his dad was. 

Funeral updates will be posted as soon as they are known, it is expected that due to covid regulations it will be family only for the service but people will be welcomed to attend the procession to show support to a true Carlisle legend!
