On December 21st 2020 my sister was notified by an investigator that our father had unexpectedly passed. After futher investigation we were informed that he had succumbed to a heart attack.
My sister lost her mother a few years prior and had to cope with navigating grief while settling any disputes or affairs that were left to her upon her mothers passing.
I am starting this GFM because I am not in a position to afford a funeral. I am also unwilling to allow the cost to fall upon her as she's grieving for both her mother and now our father.
We both reside in different states and she's going to great lengths to get everything arranged while holding a full time job and dealing with 2020 as a whole.
Today 12/28 we spoke about final arrangements.
She will be taking time off to take care of what she can back home.
I'd really love to be able to help fund the funeral so when all is said and done she is not left with lingering debt from the death our father.
We crunched numbers and have a estimate of what the cost will roughly be.
