Funeral fundraiser for Buda

-In memory of Buda-

Known as Buda to his dearest friends and colleagues and Uncle Mikey to his three nieces and three nephews, it is with great sorrow that we report our beloved Mikey passed away on Sunday from what we believe is a stroke caused by cardiovascular disease. Much too young to leave this earth, Buda was truly a lover of life and lived with gusto. He was the life of the party and always full of fun and his trademark laughter.

To family and friends: Thank you for your support of prayers and words of encouragement. We are not in Florida so we are working on all the funeral arrangements and figuring out what to do with his personal affairs. Buda was self-employed most of his life and had no life insurance. He recently had been struggling financially after the loss of a long time contractor job.

Bio about Buda: He was born April 3rd, 1968, in Bangkok, Thailand and grew up in eastern Virginia. After graduating high school, he moved to Miami to go to art school and never left the Sunshine State. He was a fixture in the art world in the Miami area, having worked in various art mediums such as sculpture, jewelry and performance art. He was involved with several well-known art museums/galleries and Art Basel. He was also an amazing talented art installation technician and was valued for his skills with large-scale art installations and complicated set ups.
