Funeral fund for Tina Russell

On December 29th my mother in law, Tina went in for a minor surgical procedure but had complications related to her kidney disease that she was born with. Over the last 48 years she had undergone 2 kidney transplant surgeries and lots of hospitalizations. She was on and off dialysis her whole life but she never let that stop her from being who she was. She ended up being diagnosed with many other illnesses that made it harder for everyday life. Most people would never know because she always had a smile on her face and brushed it off so that she could live her life to the fullest.

She worked at Miguel’s Mexican restaurant in Stockton for the last 20 years of her life and she loved it. She was most definitely a “people person”! She loved seeing all of her regulars everyday and talking to them about life and getting to know their families. If you knew Tina, you knew how much she loved and cared for anyone in her life. She could light up any room she walked into with her amazing smile and always knew how to make everyone feel so loved even if she barely knew you. She would give the shirt off of her back to help anybody and never failed to amaze us.

Tina was an amazing mother to her only son and always made sure they had fun together! all three of us alway had the best time together. She loved being a mother and loved that her son is and will always be her best friend.

On December 30th 2021 the day after what we thought was going to be a minor surgery, her body was unable to recover from mild anesthesia and she tragically passed away. The doctors told us that her organs just couldn’t keep up and started shutting down so quickly that there was nothing they could do to help keep her alive.

Her close family was able to say goodbye to her as well as her only son. We are lost and will miss her so dearly, everyday!

We are absolutely heartbroken that her chronic illnesses took her away from us so soon but we are blessed to know that she is no longer in pain.

Tina's funeral will be held at Collin's funeral home Lodi ca (123 N. School St) On Tuesday January 11th at 1:00 p.m. All family & friends welcomed.

We appreciate all of the thoughts, prayers, and good vibes that we have received. Thank you all so much for being so supportive and amazing. We appreciate anything and everything that has been done to make this transition easier for us thus far. We are hoping to raise enough money to help cover funeral costs at this time to help ease the stress from her son and family while they are grieving. Thank you.
