Funeral for Warren Gluck

Donation protected
Our beloved Warren Gluck recently passed on April 29th. We are all devastated by Warren’s abrupt and unsettling passing. Warren was not only a dear member of our family but was a monumental figure within his neighborhood and among the LGBTQ+ community. He touched the lives of every person he came into contact with through his benevolent spirit and undying passion.

Warren Gluck was a world renown DJ starting his career in the 1970s. Just a few years into his career, he took the world by storm spinning at some of the most notorious clubs in the metropolitan NYC area. He was a resident DJ at the Monster for 25 years and a resident DJ at the Saint for 5 years. Warren played almost every major party in the United States, traveling coast to coast. Among these include countless sets at the Pines Party Fire Island, gay pride celebrations in NYC, San Francisco, Boston and Phoenix, Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence in New Orleans, and the Black and White Party in New York. Warren also worked for Atlantis Events Cruises as a resident DJ, where he traveled globally leaving an international impact that inspired many. He received induction into the DJ Hall of Fame on September 13th, 2016. He brought together the LGBTQ+ community with his passion and through the power of his music. Aside from his everlasting impact through music, he was a tech genius, roller coaster fanatic, snoopy enthusiast, holiday light aficionado, and ardent gardener.

Given our financial situation due to the pandemic, nobody in our household is currently working. Like so many people, my parents have yet to receive any of their unemployment checks nor their stimulus checks, and are not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Warren the memorial that he so dearly deserves, to honor his legacy and be able to say our final goodbyes.

My mother and I are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Warren’s funeral. We understand how greatly this pandemic has affected so many households and any sort of contribution would be greatly appreciated. Also we please ask if you would share this campaign with your loved ones to reach as many people as possible.

Unfortunately, given the circumstances of the pandemic, the funeral will only be for 10 individuals within the family and the service will only be an hour long. We will provide further details on the location of the service in case anyone wants to safely gather outside of the funeral home to show their love and support. When it is safe, we would love to have a memorial at Fire Island where we can all celebrate the beautiful life he lived.

We want to thank you again for all of your heartfelt condolences and beautiful sentiments. Your words have warmed our hearts and made this pain a little more bearable. It is so incredible to see the unsurmountable reach of Warren’s legacy.
