Funeral For Ruby Arcila

Funds are needed to provide a proper service for a great friend and dedicated mother, Rubiella Arcila.
A long time resident of Hampton Bays, and beloved crew member at Hampton Bagels in East Hampton, Ruby was all about working hard and taking care of her 6 children and grandchildren.
Last fall Ruby was diagnosed with colon cancer. She improved slightly with chemo treatments and actually returned to work briefly. Her condition declined again and she endured multiple hospital stays for days/weeks at a time.
Rubiella was sent home in late March under the care of hospice. With her children by her side through every step, she fought and held on for 2 1/2 months. A few weeks ago she returned to the hospital and was transferred to Westhampton Care Center, where she sadly passed away on June 21st.
Due to the financial strain of Ruby being out of work, and her children exhausting all resources and funds just to cover her bills for her, they are in need of help in giving Ruby the memorial service she deserves.
Ruby was a great mother who put her all into her kids/grandkids, they were her greatest joy and she even made long trips up the island to attend weekly get togethers with her family. She had a big heart and worked her hardest at anything she did.
She was a great woman and will be missed by all who knew her.
