Funeral for Meida Vasquez - Leon
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of Meida Vasquez - Leon. Meida tested positive for Covid-19 on December 4, 2020. After a few days of trying to fight the virus from home, however, her symptoms grew worse and it came to the point where she was struggling to breathe on her own. She was taken to the hospital on December 7, 2020, and this would begin a month-long battle of her fighting to stay alive.
What started out as just covid, quickly turned into pneumonia and this affected my mother’s lungs to the point where a ventilator was needed for her to breathe. As time went on, the body continued to fight and tried to stay at a healthy oxygen level but it could not fight anymore. My mother passed away on January 1, 2021, after her pulse gave out and Nurses/doctors were not able to bring her back to life.
To those of you that know my mother, you know she loved her family, children, and most importantly, God. I know my mother is in Heaven right now looking over all of us and we will always cherish the memories we have of her. This is not a Goodbye, but a see you later.
Meida’s obituary can be found here (http://hughes3.com/). The funeral service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home - Oak Cliff Chapel, on Wednesday, January 06, 2021, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
We are absolutely devastated by Meida’s passing and are asking for any form of help/donation to help cover the expenses for her funeral. To be as transparent as possible, attached will be the Funeral Purchase contract that lists every expense in an itemized format. We are seeking a goal of $4000 at this time to help pay for her funeral arrangements.
We will need to pay all funeral costs by January 6, 2021. I’ve started a fundraiser to collect donations for Meida’s funeral service. Here is the link to the fundraiser: https://gofund.me/bb7ea2a5
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
With love,
John Vasquez
