Dear friends and family,
I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of my first born child Cali. My daughter died in my arms at the University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center, in Minneapolis MN on September 10th of 2020. After struggling with stage 3 hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. HIE was caused by medical complications such as severe preclampsia in the third trimester, polyhydramnios affecting pregnancy, and high risk pregnancy in the third trimester HELLP syndrome at 33 weeks and 1 day. A shortage of oxygen in the blood and blood flow to the brain, resulting brain damage. Cali was not able to breath on her own she needed ventilation support. Also she was unable to swallow, had seizures, low muscle tone, and acidosis. In the beginning the only hope I could find was that Cali would make a full recovery. As time went on it became clear that Cali was more severely affected from her injury. She was my precious baby girl and gained her angel wings at 27 days of age.
Cali's obituary can be found on White Funeral Homes website. The funeral service will be held at White Funeral Homes in Lonsdale MN on September 25th of 2020 at 10AM.
We are absolutely devasted by Cali's passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service. Based on researching expenses, and quotes. Here is a breakdown of all the costs involved in the funeral service for Cali.
Cremation with memorial service - $3200
Urn - $500
Flowers - $600
Priest - $200
Pictures of Cali framed and keepsake book - $300
