Funeral for Benjamin Higgins

Benjamin lived on this earth for a short 18 years and 34 days. On Sunday, November 30th Benjamin made a choice that would forever change his life and everyone that knew him. After fighting hard for nearly 48 hours, On December 3rd, 2019; Benjamin passed away from an overdose.
Benjamin had the kindest heart and an even bigger smile. Never leaving without a big hug and an I love you to everyone. Benjamins love for his mother was unconditional; a bond like no other; a bond to never be broken. Ben and his Dad were jokesters together, both always looking to make others laugh and smile. Ben was a big brother to Asher and Paisley; that absolutely adored him. He was a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend.
Bens mother, Katy, and his father, Shaun had the horrifying task today that nobody ever wants to do; they made arrangements for their son’s funeral. While the last thing on their mind should be how the much the costs of laying their son to rest will be, it must be addressed. The funds raised here will go directly to Shaun and Katy to pay for Bens funeral and medical expenses that were incurred while Ben fought the biggest battle to save his life but instead, he was called home to Heaven.

My name is Amanda, I am Bens Aunt. I am writing this to help my brother, Shaun, and Katy. There is nothing more that I want than to take away the pain from Shaun and Katy and everyone that knew Ben. I am unable to do that, so here I sit writing my nephews story in hopes that this may help alleviate some stress of the financial responsibilities they have.
