Funeral&Medical Expenses in Memory of Daniel Loyd

Story

My brother, Daniel Loyd, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 24th, 2021. Daniel grew up with 4 siblings (3 brothers and myself, his sister), his mom, grandmother, cousins, aunts and uncles, and great friends. Because he was 5 years older than me, I always looked up to him. As a child, he was incredibly smart, athletic, and talented at whatever he put his mind to, whether it was music, video games, really anything, there was nothing that he couldn't do well. He enjoyed playing card games and board games and he always beat me (well, most everyone) which was infuriating, but he was a good sport about it (most of the time).Daniel was not only a brother, he was also a son, a grandson, a boyfriend, and a dedicated and loyal friend to many. If you knew him, you knew he was a hard worker, kind, generous, goofy, adventurous, and a lover of music and art. He enjoyed traveling around the country, taking photos and going to music festivals. He has touched so many lives, which makes his passing so incredibly difficult to fathom. He was a good, honest, caring, and loving soul. To have known him at any point during his 31 years of life is an honor. His life, though filled with many moments of joy, was shadowed by the trauma he endured in his childhood. Either silently or with friends, he struggled with severe depression as a result of that trauma. Yet, despite it all, he always wanted to help his family and friends in need in whatever way he could, and make sure they had a great time if he was around. After spending years living in New York and San Diego as a licensed CPA accountant for KPMG, he moved back to McDonough, GA in September 2020, the place where he grew up and where he would spend his final months with his family. There are no words to describe how much we love him, and how deeply we'll miss him.Due to his sudden passing, my family is not prepared to take on all of the medical and funeral costs. If you can, and would like to, you can make a donation to help fund his final medical expenses and his memorial service. Because the funeral costs must be paid before the service, funds are needed in the next week. I have taken on the responsibility of making arrangements to relieve the burden from my mother. We completely understand if you are unable to contribute monetarily. Regardless, if you have any photos or memories of Daniel that you are willing to share, we have set up an online photo and memory board, linked here , where you can contribute photos of Daniel that we can share at his memorial service. We plan to celebrate Daniel's life on Saturday, June 5th at 3250 Mt Zion Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281 (Lord of Life Lutheran Church). The memorial will begin at 2:00pm. Each one of you carries a piece of Daniel with you, and we hope we can celebrate him with all the people who loved and cared about him.
