My brother Si , has today tragically lost his life, following an collision with a car at 1.30 on Wednesday 27th November at the Kings Gap roundabout in Hoylake . Many of you will have been involved in rescue attempts or seen the aftermath of the accident. We are so grateful to everyone who stopped to help and fought so hard to save him.
This tragedy has been a shock to us all in the family , Si was only 46 and has been taken far too soon.
Si was a thoughtful , caring and wonderful son, brother and uncle. Since the accident our family have learned that he was also loved and valued by many friends from around the world.
It is hard to describe Si and what he meant to others. He was a caring and loving person , a very deep thinker with a dry whit . He loved gaming and had become friends with people from around the world as a result. He had his struggles in life but was , right now in a great place thanks to mountain biking.
Si had become an organ donor which has given the family some comfort as he will be changing lives positively for people.
His sudden and tragic death has overwhelmed his family with grief and sadness but also with funeral costs. We would appreciate any donations that you can give to support Si's funeral costs and ease the financial burdens that have come with his sudden passing.
