This is bitter sweet....My dear friend Amorinda “Amore” Martinez married the man of her dreams Friday, November 10, 2017, the day AFTER her mother passed away both suddenly and unexpectedly (November 9, 2017). With unimaginable style and grace she has embraced the very best of times (marriage) at the most difficult time of her life (grieving the loss of her mother). True to her fashion she handled both occasions with a tremendous amount of elegance.
Linda “Smiley” Martinez was a beloved sister, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was enchanting and loving, just as she was real and down to earth. Linda was a beautiful open spirit with a great sense of humor.
Although the Martinez family is musically gifted, Linda was the undisputed best dancer. She departed very excited, happy and filled with much anticipation of her daughter Amore’s wedding . Linda was looking forward to uniting with her children Victor, Vince, Crystalyn and Ernie as they embraced her new son Kutlay Guvener and his family.
We pray that her soul be taken to the sweetest corner of our minds, the most tender place in our hearts so that we both can find comfort. She remains within us bound by a cord that cannot be cut. May we be able to surrender the day, may only the love remain. May we continue to grow in light, may we be better tomorrow.
We have had numerous messages from people asking how they can help, therefore this page was started as a way to keep everyone informed of the memorial service being arranged, as well as a place for messages and donations to be left.
