Funeral Expenses For Brandon Harvey

Brandon has been battling Chron’s and other medical conditions for 26 years.
He has fought hard his whole life, with his family by his side. Most importantly with his biggest warrior his mom Mende.
Mende cared for him every day. She always made Brandon her priority and included him in many different events and outings. Making sure he lived life to the fullest.
Last week Brandon was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery due to an obstruction and perforation in his intestinal tract.
This was a result of his small and large intestine twisting inside his abdomen. The abdominal cavity was now infected but the doctors felt that he would be on the road to recovery.
Although his organ functions were up and down things looked positive, he was in an induced sedation allowing him to recover and He was beginning to breath on his own.
A few days ago, his organs swelled due to a recurring infection resulting in his abdomen to dehisced and the sutures giving way, this required a second emergency surgery to repair the damage.
Again, things looked positive. Friday, (November 29th) he required a third emergency surgery due to excessive drainage from his abdomen. During this procedure it was discovered that his small intestine was no longer living which is vital for his survival.
The surgery was stopped.
The prognosis was not good; the doctors and nurses could not do anything else other than to keep him comfortable and pain free.
Unfortunately, this was a battle that Brandon could not win.
Brandon gained his Angel Wings On December 1st, with his Loving Mom Mende at his side up until his last breath.
Brandon was loved by many friends and family, including his Mom, Mende, Step Dad Jimmy, and brothers Jordan and Nathan.
This was a battle they did not see coming and everything happened so fast.
Parents should not have to bury their children.
