Arthur Yang for Funeral expenses
Donation protected
On May 14th, God gained another angel, Arthur Yang, at 62. The Yang family and friends are devastated to have lost a significant loved one with incredibly heavy hearts and irreparable grief. Arthur leaves behind his wife and seven children: three boys, four girls, and nearly 20 grandchildren. He may not have been the wealthiest man on earth, but he had the richest heart.
Losing a father is something unimaginable and something that we can never heal from. Our family will never be the same without him, and neither will anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a fantastic father, brother, great-grandfather, grandpa, and friend. He was incredibly kind, caring, loving, and hard-working. He worked so hard every day of his life to support his family, whom he loved so much, as well as his local community. Not only did he share his love of his hobbies, like hunting and fishing, with his family, but he also shared this with his friends.
Arthur was an invaluable pillar in the local community, lending his support to organizations such as the Asian Alaska Cultural Center, the Asian Pacific Islander, Bridge Builders, and more. He selflessly dedicated his time to translating for incoming Hmong immigrants, guiding them through the citizenship process, and assisting in the Alaska court system with translation. His involvement extended to the Hmong Alaska nonprofit organization and various political communities in Anchorage, as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs. Arthur's commitment to equality was evident in his role on the board of the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission and his work as a Social Worker at Cook Inlet Tribal Council. Additionally, he volunteered with the Police Task Force, exemplifying his dedication to serving and protecting his community.
We aim to provide Arthur Yang with a memorial befitting his legacy, a tribute that honors his memory and allows us to say our final goodbyes. Any contributions towards funeral expenses are greatly appreciated, and any residual funds will be allocated to supporting his spouse during this challenging time.
Our hearts are touched by the outpouring of condolences, thoughts, and prayers from all those who knew and loved Arthur. His absence will be deeply felt by all, yet we take solace in the belief that his kind and compassionate spirit will endure in our memories for eternity.
