Funeral Expenses for Amity Brown

On Tuesday, September 4, Amity Brown (aka Molly Black) passed away after losing a long-fought battle against major depression and chronic pain. She was my partner and best friend and is sorely missed by not only myself but by all the people who knew her and who had been touched by her big heart and dynamic personality.

Amity had a heart full of love for family, friends, animals, and any being that needed help. She was so kind, compassionate, and understanding. Her laughter was infectious and she had an awesome sense of humor even if she groaned over my terrible puns :)  If you were feeling down she could always find a way to pull you up and give you hope.

Even though she had physical ailments that made life painful and difficult she made great strides in advancing her education - she was in her senior year at Ohio University where she was working on a BS in Communications and Applied Communications and carried a 4.0 every semester. Her goal was to work for a non-profit or NGO in support of trans and intersex rights.

As for myself, the 4.5 years that we were best friends, girlfriends, and then partners were some of the best years I've ever had and during that time she helped me to become a better person. Our three fur babies and I miss her so much.

All the funds raised will be used to cover final expenses for her and her estate.
